About
Itinerant Pictures is the production company of filmmaker and photographer Daniel Traub, focused on documentaries that profile artists, cultural practitioners, and individuals whose work intersects with contemporary social realities.
Projects produced by Itinerant Pictures include Into Her Own, a portrait of sculptor Ursula von Rydingsvard; Xu Bing: Phoenix, tracing the creation of the artist’s monumental sculptures; and The Barefoot Artist, about Lily Yeh’s collaborative work in marginalized communities. These films have screened at venues such as Film Forum, the National Gallery of Art, MASS MoCA, the Vancouver International Film Festival, and the Gene Siskel Film Center, and have been covered in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Variety.
In addition to feature-length artist documentaries, Itinerant Pictures collaborates with museums and cultural institutions on short-form films and exhibition-related media. Traub also brings over two decades of experience as a documentary cinematographer on independent films and broadcast series.
