Produced for the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Rising Up explores the cultural significance of the Rocky statue and the exhibition Rising Up: Rocky and the Making of Monuments. Featuring guest curator Paul Farber, the film examines boxing as a powerful symbol in art and public life, while tracing the complex relationship between Philadelphia’s boxing legacy, public monuments, and collective memory.
